Amity Regional High School Alumnus Among ESPN Layoffs
The Bristol-based sports media company announced Wednesday that it was laying off about 100 employees.

BRISTOL, CT — Darren M. Haynes, a sportscaster and alumnus of Amity Regional High School, is among the 100 ESPN employees who were laid off by the company on Wednesday.
He confirmed the layoff in the below tweet:

On-air anchors, reporters and others are among the employees who have been released by the company, including other big names such as Jayson Stark, Ed Werder, Trent Dilfer and Danny Kannel.

Haynes, a Woodbridge native, joined ESPN three years ago, reported the New Haven Register.
