First, the good news. Beginning Monday, and running through New Year’s Day there is currently no chance of precipitation for that time period. So you won’t have to deal with snow or rain on New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day.

Now for the bad news, it’s finally going to begin to feel like winter just in time for New Year’s Eve. The low temperature for the last night of 2014 calls for temperatures in the high teens to about 20 degrees.

On New Year’s Day, it will be mostly sunny with a high near 34.

Here is the rest of the forecast for the week, Monday, mostly sunny with a high near 40-43, Tuesday, partly sunny with a high in the mid 30s, and during the day on New Year’s Eve, it will be mostly sunny with a high temperature in the high 20s to low 30s.

And one more piece of potential bad news depending on your view of wintry precipitation. The National Weather Service is predicting a chance of snow and sleet Friday night, and a chance of snow and rain on Saturday.

No matter what you do on New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day please be safe, and enjoy the holiday with friends and family.

Have a great New Year!
