Bethany Christmas Tree Lighting and Concert
Don't miss this second annual event featuring the Amity High Chamber Singers on December 6 at 5:30PM
Your family and friends are invited to ring in the Advent and Christmas seasons as we once again light the Bethany Christmas Tree on Sunday evening, Dec 6 on the lawn of Christ Episcopal Church (at the blinking light) on Rte 63. First Selectwoman Derry Gorski will be on hand to give words of welcome and the Amity High School Chamber Singers will perform inside the church at 5:30pm. This year the room will be decorated by peace cranes made by the people of Bethany. The musical program will conclude with a simple prayer for peace, and then we’ll gather outside around the Christmas tree to sing “Silent Night.” The tree lights will come on as we sing “We wish you a Merry Christmas.” Everyone will then be invited inside for hot chocolate and cookies in the parish hall. Participants are encouraged to bring food for the CT Food bank or a bag of disposable diapers for the New Haven Diaper Bank to put under the tree.
