Bethany Menorah To Be Lit For Chanukah
Bethany's giant Menorah to be kindled on Tuesday, December 12th at 5 p.m. to celebrate the first night of Chanukah.

BETHWOOD, CT - From Chabad Of The Towns: Once again, Bethany Town Hall will be illuminated with a 9-foot Menorah that will be on display at 40 Peck Road, and the town’s Jewish community will gather in front of Town Hall for a Grand Menorah Lighting and Celebration on Tuesday, December 12th at 5:00 PM.
“Last year we were overwhelmed by the sheer size of the crowd,” says Rabbi Shmuly Druk who hosted over 60 participants at Town Hall last December, "and this year we are gearing up for an even larger celebration!”
Rabbi Druk will be personally setting up the Menorah and hosting the town Chanukah party with his family and local friends. The event is free of charge and open to everyone, explain the Druks, who have been involved in Jewish life in Bethany and the surrounding towns since 2016. “We are not a congregation, and we have no members. We are a community of Jewish families and individuals in and around Bethany who celebrate Jewish life and traditions in an open and welcoming format.”
