WOODBRIDGE, CT — Animal Control officials recently found a dog deceased in a crate. Evidence indicates the dog was still alive at the time of the dumping.

The dog was left with no food, no water, and no protection from the sun, according to an Animal Control post on Facebook.

"She was deliberately placed in an area where it would be difficult for her to be found," the post reads. "Someone did this to a living, breathing animal with more of a soul than they could ever wish to possess."
