Happenings at the Garden Club of Woodbridge September Meeting

September Garden Club Meeting

The Garden Club of Woodbridge had a fascinating speaker, Dr. Gale E. Ridge from the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station at its September meeting. Dr. Ridge discussed the biology of bed bugs, precautions while traveling, and steps to take if bed bugs do get into your home.

The club asks members to bring to the meetings their home-grown plants to be critiqued. Members get valuable information about what and how to exhibit horticulture at the Federated Garden Clubs of CT Annual Flower and Garden Show. Valerie Traumer, Dr. Gale E. Ridge, Susan Antinozzi, Sharon deKadt, Sery Kang, Joanne D'Angelo (president of the Garden Club of Woodbridge) and Linda Reilly are pictured below behind their horticulture exhibits for September.

Also, at the meeting members swapped plants from their gardens at the club's annual plant exchange.
