From a reader:
"My name is Nina Dean, I am 26 years old and I have lived in Milford, CT my entire life. I am a nurse and have a very strong love for animals so it is with a heavy heart that I ask for your help.
My parents beloved dog, Hummer went missing on Sunday, 9/15/2013, at around 5:00 in Woodbridge. Specifically my parents address is 13 Salem Rd in Woodbridge. He was last seen in their yard - which he never leaves. Unfortunately, he does not have his collar on.
He is a 7 year old, fawn colored, PUG. I have attached his pictures.
He is extremely domesticated and he is my fathers best friend. I feel compelled to reach out for help because he is a part of our family and he is loved more then you can imagine. He would go everywhere with my dad. My father is retired from the Town of Milford and you would never see one without the other. It breaks my heart to know how upset they just are. Truly such a sad story.
We have hung OVER 500 posters, canvased miles of streets, woods, and called the police - near by clinics - pounds/shelters - and posted on facebook. In the event that somebody may know somebody that knows something. In the last week I have exhausted every option. There has been no sightings of Hummer, which makes this whole situation that much more discouraging. At least with some kind of sightings we could have some hopes that he is out there.
So, I find it very unusual - if someone does have him I wish for this - that they know he has a loving home, that his family is worried sick about him, that in the last week we haven't slept, and we are still looking for him. My parents have eight grandkids who love him and are asking where he is. As my parents daughter I can not stop looking for him until I can call my parents and tell them I have some kind of closure for them. They are MY best friends and it is my duty to help them look for THEIR best friend.
I beg beg beg for your help, that ANYONE who knows ANYTHING to please contact Mari Green or Eric Green at 203 605 2046 or 203 6059586. My number is 203 530 5960. There is a reward for his safe return back to his family.
