Holy Week Schedule at Our Lady of the Assumption
Daily worship opportunities will be available beginning on Monday and through Easter Sunday at the two churches in Woodbridge.
Reconciliation/Confessions 9:00AM– 9:45AM Saturday and Monday. March 26 at 7:00-7:45PM Both at Center Road Church.
Week Day Masses for Holy Week, March Monday, March 26th, Tuesday, March 27th and Wednesday, March 28th—9:00AM at the Mother Church.
The sacred three days of Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Holy Saturday are called the Easter Triduum. We celebrate our redemption won for us by Jesus the Lord. The beautiful unique ceremonies of these days emphasize the Lord's Last Supper and his institution of the Eucharist. His passion and his death, his being raised from the dead.

HOLY THURSDAY
Holy Thursday, March 29
No 9:00AM Liturgy
This evening we recall in tender fashion, what Jesus the Master did and said on the night before he died, at the Last Supper Passover meal. He washed the feet of his disciples, mentioned the priesthood and the Blessed Sacrament as his external memorial.
Mass of the Lord's Supper
(Cena Mass) 7:00PM
At this Liturgy the priest washes the feet of twelve representatives of the parish family as a sign of priestly service to all people. At the conclusion of Mass the Blessed Sacrament is carried throughout the church.
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament follows the Liturgy until 9:00PM. The parish family is urged to spend at least 15 minutes in prayer before the Lord's present in the Blessed Sacrament of the official "Night Prayer" of the Church. All are invited.

GOOD FRIDAY

Good Friday – March 30
Celebration of the Lord's Passion – 5:30PM
The solemn service includes the proclamation of the Passion, Veneration of the Cross and distribution of
Holy Communion. On Good Friday the two churches will be open so parishioners may walk the ''Stations of the Cross". Privately or in small groups. "Stations" books will be made available for this beautiful devotion.

Holy Saturday/Solemn Easter Vigil

In keeping with the church's ancient tradition the church is empty until the celebration of the Easter Vigil, The tabernacle is empty and all is quiet in preparation for the Solemn Easter Vigil.
