ICYMI: Cops: Manchester Man Robbed Dunkin Donuts Near Home Three Times

They say the criminal always returns to the scene of the crime. But returning again after that? To commit the same crime? Nobody says that.

But that’s what police say a Manchester man did: Returned twice more to rob a Dunkin Donuts place near his home a total of three times within a year, according a report in the Hartford Courant which cited police statements.

Nephtaly Alvarado, 42, of 96 Campfield Rd. is accused by police of committing a holdup with a knife at the Dunkin’ Donuts on Hartford Road on Sept. 20, 2013. He was already charged earlier this year with robbing the same doughnut shop on March 26 and June 16, 2014, police said, according to the report in the Courant.

He’s been charged with first-degree robbery in each incident. On June 16, he entered the store at 5 a.m. through the drive-up window after he couldn’t get in through the door and threatened three employees, according to the report. Police said he forced one of the three to give him money from the cash register.

According to the report, police say he lives right around the corner from the place.
