Man Fraudulently Tries To Cash Check at Bank: Woodbridge PD

The accused was released on a $15,000 bond, police say.

WOODBRIDGE, CT — A New York man is accused of fraudulently trying to cash a check at a local bank, Woodbridge police say. On Jan. 8, members of the Woodbridge Police Department responded to a local bank for the report of a male fraudulently attempting to cash a check, police said.

Upon police arrival, Marc Jefferies, 30, of Jamaica, NY was detained and was in possession of numerous forms of identification in different names, police said.

Jefferies was ultimately arrested and charged with theft of a payment card, criminal impersonation, and criminal attempt to commit fifth-degree larceny. Jefferies was released after posting a $15,000 bond.
