Man Stole Car From Business: Woodbridge Police

The accused was issued a $50,000 bond.

WOODBRIDGE, CT — A New Haven man is accused of stealing a car from a local business, Woodbridge Police say.

On March 15, members of the Woodbridge Police Department served an active criminal arrest warrant for Melvin Gaskins, 48, of Dixwell Avenue, who is in Department Of Corrections custody, police said.

Gaskins’ arrest stems from a February 2019 incident where he is accused of stealing a vehicle from a local business, police said. Gaskins was charged with second-degree larceny and was issued a $50,000.00 bond. Upon being processed Gaskins was turned back over to the State Judicial Marshals and arraigned in New Haven Superior Court.
