Our Lady of the Assumption Ladies Guild Service Award Recipients

Congratulations to the three Service Award winners from Our Lady of the Assumption Parish.

WOODBRIDGE, CT -

OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION LADIES GUILD 2021 SERVICE AWARD RECIPIENTS

Luke Emmett Cassidy has served as a Faith Formation Volunteer and teacher assistant. Also, as a valuable helper in the fight against Covid 19, keeping the church pews clean after masses. He also, has recently completed his Eagle Project. Luke’s recommenders were very impressed by his catholic faith and his willingness to always help when needed. Especially tasks most people would not like to do. Luke spoke about how small his service might be, it’s important to someone therefore important to God. Luke will be attending New Hampshire Technical Institute in the Fall.

Faith DeSarbo has been not only a valuable member of the Faith Formation program for the last four years, but she has also volunteered for variety of other activities such as the food drive, the Christmas bazaar and the Easter egg hunt to name a few. Her recommendations state that her devotion to her faith and her commitment to our Faith Formation program is inspiring and worthy of commendation. She is described as hard-working, genuine and devoted to everything she does. Faith will use her faith in God and model his empathy for everyone. Faith will be attending Bentley University in the fall.

Simon Khairallah has been an altar server for 6 years, until the pandemic halted that service. His volunteer work both in school as a Link Crew leader and Peer Tutor, and outside of school, at Yale New Haven Hospital and in many activities as a Boy Scout speak to how he lives out his Christian values in daily life. Simon is described as a thoughtful young man who is a model to his peers. Simon looks to the strength of his faith to help him as he experiences inevitable bumps in the road. Simon will be attending Colgate University in the fall.
