Popular Woodbridge Eatery Katz's Deli Reopens

Katz's Deli is making a return after a fire damaged the restaurant in June.

WOODBRIDGE, CT — Popular local establishment Katz's Deli has announced that it will reopen Monday, according to a social media post. The restaurant had been closed for rebuilding after a fire closed it in June.

Katz's Deli posted: "Only a few more days! I can’t stress enough how proud I am of my dad, brother, and restaurant family and all the hard work they put in - thank you! And to all our customers, thank you for being extremely patient over the last few months...

"We are so excited to announce that Katz Deli will officially be opening Monday, November 9th! We are so grateful for all the love, support and patience everyone has provided us throughout these past few months. We have been working hard getting everything back together and also taking the precautions that are necessary to make sure we are all safe! We cannot to wait to see everyone and thank you again for being so patient!"

The deli's hours will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.

The deli reopened in June but only a few days later, an electrical fire caused it to close. The back half of the restaurant was badly damaged.

Katz's is known for its deli classics like pastrami sandwiches and matzo ball soup.
