The Surreybrook School Welcomes New Owners

BETHANY, CT -- The Surreybrook School is under new ownership. Day and Lauren Rosenberg bring over 40 years of educational leadership and experience between them to The Surreybrook School community. “We are thrilled to continue the legacy and vision that Kathy Consoli, founder of The Surreybrook School, brought to this exceptional school,” Day Rosenberg said. “It has been an honor to meet and work with the exceptional team of teachers, led by director Cheryl Kane,” Rosenberg continued. “As a family of educators, we knew that Surreybrook was the home for us. The focus on exploration, curiosity, and developing a love of learning are paramount to the foundation for future success,” Lauren Rosenberg said.

Day Rosenberg is a former school principal, administrator, teacher, and coach. He holds a Masters degree from Columbia University’s Teachers College and certification in Advanced Educational Leadership from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Lauren Rosenberg has taught ages 3-19 and holds a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Literacy Instruction. She is a former recipient of the Teacher of the Year in the state of New Jersey.

The Surreybrook School enrolls students 6 weeks old to 6 years old. With its outstanding multi-acre campus, The Surreybrook School was the first school in the state of Connecticut to receive the Nature Explore Classroom certification. The mission of The Surreybrook School is to nurture the young heart and mind in a joyful learning environment which protects the wonder and magic of early childhood and fulfills a child's fundamental need for exploration and discovery.
