Suspect Robbed Woodbridge Bank Wearing Surgical Mask: Cops

Woodbridge Police say Antoine Morrison Jr., 38, wore a hospital mask and used a bb gun to rob the TD Bank. He's held on $200,000 bond.

WOODBRIDGE, CT — Friday morning the TD Bank on Amity Road in Woodbridge was robbed by a an armed man wearing a surgical mask. He demanded money and fled. He was later apprehended in New Haven.

Woodbridge police say that after a description of the suspect was broadcast to surrounding police departments, the suspect was located on Whalley Avenue near Fountain Street in New Haven. When police from Woodbridge and New Haven approached him, he tried to get away and, "after a brief struggle," police said he was taken into custody. He had the gun, which police said was a BB gun, and a "large quantity of cash."

Police charged Antoine Morrison Jr., 38, of New Haven was charged with first-degree robbery, third-degree larceny and carrying a dangerous weapon. Morrison is being held in lieu of $200,000 bond.
