Police Release ID Of Victim In Fatal Woodbridge Crash

A driver has died following a Wednesday morning wreck.

WOODBRIDGE, CT — Police have released the identity of the victim in a one-car fatal crash in Woodbridge just after 6 a.m. Wednesday. Police said in a Facebook post that the vehicle was traveling southbound on Northrop Road when it left the road and struck a tree.

The driver and sole occupant in the vehicle has been identified as Howard Brown, age 24, of Seymour, according to police.

Brown was the only person in the car and was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital and later died.

Reconstruction of the scene is being conducted by the Woodbridge Police Department with the assistance of accident investigators from the Ansonia and Derby Police Departments. No further details have been released.
