Waterbury's Our Lady of Mount Carmel Feast Opens Tonight
The event is known for the best Fried Dough, Authentic Italian Food, and Entertainment.

WATERBURY, CT - The Our Lady of Mount Carmel Feast is in its 81st year in the Town Plot section of Waterbury. The feast celebrates the patroness of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church and School. I once reviewed a performance on the stage in this church hall.

FEAST OF OUR LADY OF MOUNT CARMEL THE TASTE OF A GOOD LIFE
The beloved feast opens on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at 5pm and runs until 10pm. The event is known for the best Fried Dough, Authentic Italian Food, and Entertainment. Representatives of the event appeared on 1320 AM WATR this morning to promote the event.

Organizer Nicki Maiorano posted: It is that time of year again...our favorite event, a fried dough festival... Come on out and get the best fried dough you'll every in your life, along with many other delicious Italian treats handmade by the parishioners of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. It doesn't get better than that!!!

81st Annual Italian Feast
Location: Church Yard - America Street
Celebrating the 81st Annual Italian Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. This feast will open Thursday evening at 5:00 p.m. and conclude for the evening at 10:00 p.m.
Several booths with delicious Italian-made food will be available for purchase:
Clams on the Half Shell, Ziti & Meatballs, Sausage & Pepper Sandwiches, Soffritto, Eggplant Sandwiches, Porchetta Sandwiches, Pasta Fagioli, our famous Fried Dough, Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Steak Sandwiches and also Italian Ice, Italian pastries.
We also have soda, wine and beer booths.
The entertainment for Thursday evening is Angelo Ruggiero & Jack Lynn.
The feast will be open again on Friday evening at 5:00 p.m. and conclude for the evening at 11:00 p.m. The entertainment for Friday evening is Franceso Castiglione Band.
The feast continues Saturday evening at 5:00 p.m. and concludes for the evening at 11:00 p.m. The entertainment for Saturday evening is Enterprise Music Group from Meriden Connecticut.
The final day of the feast is Sunday afternoon following a special Mass at 12 Noon for the Patroness. The event will open at 2:00 p.m. and run until 9:00 pm. The entertainment for Sunday is Vittorio DiCarlo, Italian Tenor. Also singing this evening will be Vito Lombardo.
