Woodbridge student honored at Carnegie Hall
Woodridge HS senior wins $10,000 scholarship and a trip to NYC.
Woodbridge high school senior Jonathan Gelernter took a trip to New York City this weekend to accept a Scholastic Art & Writing Portfolio Gold Medal Award, the highest honor in the Scholastic Awards.
He took a bow on the iconic stage of Carnegie Hall to accept the award, which comes with a $10,000 scholarship for his writing. Gelernter and the other winners met Nick Cannon among other celebrities at the event.Â
Gelernter currently has his writing on display at Parsons The New School for Design in Manhattan. He now plans to attend Binghamton University in New York this fall.
