Famous Branford Thimble Island for Sale

You can own one of Branford’s famous Thimble Islands for $7.35 million and your home address will be Potato Island.

According to Zillow.com, the 11-acre island located off of Stony Creek was listed last month.

It features park-like grounds, a heated pool, and a chaise lounge. There is also a hot tub, fieldstone fireplace, and much more.

According to the Connecticut Office of Tourism in 1846 the Thimble Island House Hotel was built and tourism took off. Legend has it that Captain Kidd buried his treasure on the islands.
