4th Of July Fireworks 2021 Near Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Coronavirus cases continue to drop across the country while the number of those who are fully vaccinated continues to rise, which means there is even more reason to celebrate this Independence Day. July 4 is almost here, so it's time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you.

We have all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around Bridgeport so you can start planning now.

What: Stratford's Fourth of July fireworks display

Where: Short Beach

When: Fireworks display begins around 9 p.m. on Thursday, July 1. (Rain date is July 2)

What: Fairfield Independence Day Fireworks Show

Where: Penfield and Jennings beaches

When: July 3; fireworks will begin after dark, about 9:15 p.m.; entertainment will start 6 p.m. at both beaches.

What: Milford's Downtown Fireworks event

Where: Downtown Milford

When: Festivities will be held from 4 p.m. until 11 p.m. on Saturday, June 26.

What: Trumbull Day

Where: Hillcrest Middle School

When: 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., July 2

2 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., July 3, fireworks are planned at the end of July 3

Rain dates:

• Carnival Rain Date is on Sunday, July 4, from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. (only if Friday or Saturday are cancelled)
• Fireworks Rain Date is on Saturday, July 10
