Bridgeport Man Charged In Stabbing Of Woman In Wheelchair

A Bridgeport man was arrested on charges that he stabbed a woman in a wheelchair repeatedly with a screwdriver.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A Bridgeport was arrested on charges that he stabbed a woman in a wheelchair in a Save A Lot supermarket parking lot Tuesday afternoon, according to The Connecticut Post. Earnest Perkins, 55, is accused of stabbing the woman repeatedly with a screwdriver.

Perkins was charged with first-degree assault on a disabled person, first-degree robbery, and second-degree breach of peace, according to The Connecticut Post. He was held in lieu of $750,000 bond.
