Bridgeport Man Seriously Injured In Route 15 Crash

A wreck on Route 15 in Woodbridge early Tuesday morning resulted in serious injuries.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A city man was seriously injured in an accident Tuesday morning on Route 15, according to a State Police report. The wreck on Route 15 in Woodbridge between exits 59 and 60 led to extensive traffic delays on that highway and I-95.

According to police, Joao Maiolino, 29, of Bridgeport, was driving a motorcycle northbound on Route 15 at 5:43 a.m. A Nissan Armad traveling southbound entered the emergency turnaround in the center median at West Rock Tunnel.

The Nissan, driven by Kimberly Ann Slosek, 41, of West Haven, then entered the southbound lane and struck the motorcycle, police said.
