Bridgeport Mayor Sues Airline Over Dog Bite: Report

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Mayor Joe Ganim is suing Delta Airlines due to a dog he claims bit him while he was on a flight, according to The New Haven Register. The suit is for unspecified damages to cover "serious, severe, painful and permanent injuries" that resulted in scarring and disfigurement.

The suit also claims that the airline did not provide information on the dog's medical history, which meant Ganim had to undergo a series of painful rabies treatments.

Ganim's attorney told The Register that the animal was not an emotional support dog and was removed from the plane.
