Perhaps in my lifetime I will not see another club built for kids in the north end of BRIDGEPORT.AS a kid in the 1940'S this was the place to go and enjoy swimming,ping pong,and basketball as well as softball.THE guys who ran this cared about us .AS of JUNE 2018 the NORTH END BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB was demolished with a promise it would be replaced but like all other projects in our city nothing happened.ALL we get is empty promises.The club had been vacant for 15 years.This club was built in the 40's.The projected date to rebuild now stands at 2020.I feel the club served a purpose and that it molded better character as we attended it daily.SO when are we going to get a new club really or is this another failure to appear for the children of our city it would be beneficial.
