Bridgeport Woman Plans Irish Cultural Event & Soda Bread Tasting

Mary Donnelly Plans Program to Celebrate Irish Heritage on Sunday, February 9, 2020 at Local Library

The Greater Bridgeport St Patrick's Day Celebration Committee is hosting an Irish Cultural Show and Soda Bread Tasting at the Pequot Library on Sunday, February 9, 2020 at 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM. This fun and entertaining event features Irish cultural programs from music and step-dancing to poetry as a lead up to St. Patrick's Day in March. Irish-American heritage in song, dance and poetry will be on display including bag pipes, drums, accordionists a pianist. It culminates with a sing-a-long!

Entertainment includes: Connolly Ceili Band featuring Damien, Sally & Family; Irish Flare Photos by Marion Lynott; Sheeaun Academy of Irish of Dance, Ceol Agus Craic (Music & Fun) by Maureen Cadden and James McInerny; Gaelic American Club Set Dancers, Lauralton Hall Choir; the Great Hunger Museum; Connie & Art Beagan on the Bagpipes and Drums; and Mr & Miss Shamrocks.

$10 Donation for Adults, $5 for Seniors, Children Free includes Irish Soda Bread Tasting and Tea to benefit Greater Bridgeport St. Patrick’s Day Celebration Committee.
