Bridgeport Woman Who Disappeared More Than A Year Ago Found

A Bridgeport woman who went missing last year has been found safe and alive.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A Bridgeport woman who disappeared more than a year ago has been found safe and alive, according to NBC CT. Monica Decker, 53, was last seen April 8, 2020, when she was leaving her home with her adult son.

Bridgeport police official said she was located May 31, 2021. Police said there was "no criminal aspect to her disappearance" and no further information about the incident would be released.

Decker's daughter posted on Facebook June 3 that her mother had been found safe and alive, according to NBC CT. Decker had lost weight and was in the hospital, but is recovering.
