YES INDEED PUERTO RICO has honored CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS.CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS was born in GENOA ,ITALY IN 1451.HE of course was a famous explorer which we read about in our history books.COLUMBUS got credit on the discovery of AMERICA.ALTHOUGH COLUMBUS spent time in PUERTO RICO he never exploited its'population.HIS statue pays tribute to him and a square was renamed for him.The legendary man is still honored in PUERTO RICO.UNLIKE here in BRIDGEPORT their statue stands tall reminding folks about the legendary explorer.AT least the PUERTO RICONS respected him.
