Hot Chicken Restaurant Plans Opening In Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT, CT — The owners of a popular ice cream shop will be opening a hot chicken restaurant in Bridgeport, The Connecticut Post reported. Howling Hot Chicken is scheduled to open in February.

The owners are also behind Milkcraft, a gourmet ice cream franchise with locations in New Haven, Bridgeport, Fairfield, and West Hartford.

They've been developing the idea for Howling Hot Chicken for three years, including a trip to Nashville to learn about hot chicken, according to The Connecticut Post. The restaurant will feature a wide range of spiciness ranging from no spice to "The Reaper," which uses the Carolina Reaper, one of the hottest peppers in the world.

Milkcraft is noted for its all-natural ice cream and "cow-to-cone" product. The owners plan to take a similar approach with their new venture.

Howling Hot Chicken will be located at 4615 Main St. with eat-in, takeout, and delivery dining options. The restaurant is currently hiring for all position, according to their Facebook page.
