Man Dies After Jumping Out Bridgeport Window During Cop Search
Detectives reportedly were searching an apartment on Chestnut Street when the victim jumped.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — A 49-year-old Bridgeport man died Wednesday night after he jumped from a second-floor window while police were searching the Chestnut Street apartment he was in, reported the Connecticut Post.
An officer looking out a window saw Wilfredo Alvarado on the ground during the 10:30 p.m. search of the apartment in the 100 block of Chestnut Street.
Alvarado was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Bridgeport police were at the home executing a search warrant in connection with an untimely death investigation, reported News 12 Connecticut.
Detectives were speaking with a woman in the apartment when the officer spotted Alvarado.

Whether Alvarado was part of that investigation has not been disclosed, but his death now is also being investigated.
