Mass Layoffs, Furloughs At Bridgeport Warehouse
A Bridgeport firm has announced that it has terminated employees.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Alphabroder Prime has laid off 82 employees and furloughed 173 employees, according to the Connecticut Department of Labor. The layoffs began in March and continued through April.
The terminations are expected to be permanent. The layoffs and furloughs affected all positions at the company's 1100 Boston Ave. warehouse.
A document the company filed with the state reads: "The Company has implemented these terminations and furloughs because of unforeseen business circumstances. Due to the unforeseeable nature of COVID-19 and the unanticipated impact the pandemic has had on the economy and the Company specifically, the Company has experienced a substantial and rapid decline in order volume."
