Mayor Ganim Offers Free Parking for St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Mayor Ganim and the City of Bridgeport have suspended parking enforcement in the downtown to encourage visitors to attend the parade

Mayor Joe Ganim and the City of Bridgeport will proudly host the St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Friday, March 15, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. led by 2019 Grand Marshal Peter Carroll. The marchers will travel through downtown Bridgeport, beginning at Harbor Yard, continuing up Broad Street to Fairfield Avenue and return to Harbor Yard via Main Street. Mayor Ganim and the City of Bridgeport have suspended parking enforcement in the downtown to encourage visitors to attend the parade.

8:00 a.m. Mass at Saint Augustine Cathedral

9:30 a.m. Flag raising at City Hall

10:00 a.m. *Grand Marshal’s Breakfast, Grand Ballroom, Bridgeport Holiday Inn $25 Adults and $15 for children

12:00 p.m. Parade Kick-off with Grand Marshal Peter Carroll at the Webster Bank Arena. Parade travels down Broad Street to Fairfield Avenue to Main Street and ends by the Barnum Museum

1:30 p.m. *Post Parade Luncheon – Corned Beef & Cabbage $30 Adults and $17 for Children Grand Ballroom, Bridgeport Holiday Inn
