Obituary: Destiny Nayobe Arriaga, 18, Of Bridgeport

Destiny Nayobe Arriaga, age 18, of Bridgeport, entered into eternal rest on Friday, Aug. 9, 2019, at Bridgeport Hospital, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family.

Destiny was born July 20, 2001, in Bridgeport, CT; the beloved daughter of Yanira Martinez and Willie Arriaga.

Destiny attended Harding High School and completed junior year, she was a bright young lady full of joy. She had many dreams and aspirations. In her pastime she played basketball and listened to music. She would light up a room with her smile. Destiny had a great sense of humor and it would be hard to stay mad at her with her tender demeanor. She was kind and caring, she loved and respected her family.

Destiny is survived by: mother, Yanira Martinez (Leroy Isaac); father, Willie Arriaga; maternal grandparents, Marta Hegab, Julio Martinez; paternal grandparents, Jose (Rosie) Arriaga, Denise Gomez; sister, Charisma Arriaga; brother, Isaiah Isaac; and a host of extended family and friends that will cherish her memory.

Friends may greet the family Thursday, Aug. 15, 2019, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday, Aug. 16, 2019, from noon to 1 p.m. at Community Funeral Chapels, 798 Park Ave, Bridgeport, CT. Telephone: 203-334-9999; interment will follow.
