Obituary: Joseph S. Hajducky Sr., 83, of Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT, CT - (From Pistey Funeral Home) Joseph S. Hajducky Sr. age 83, of Bridgeport, passed away on January 30, 2021.

Joseph was born on September 24, 1937 in Bridgeport to the late Andrew and Margaret Hajducky.

Joseph proudly served honorably in the U.S. Navy from 1955 – 1958 and was in the Navy Reserve until 1963.

He was a member of the Bridgeport Police Department as a police officer, member of tactical unit, narcotics officer, detective and retired as a sergeant after 28 years.

He was active in the VFW chapter 10273, enjoyed playing golf and spending time at his residence in Naples, FL.

He spent much of his time with his family and grandchildren and will be truly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Patricia and his beloved children; Joseph Hajducky Jr. (Patricia) of Trumbull, Kevin Hajducky (Mary Ann) of Stratford, Lisa Kish of Trumbull, and Kenneth Hajducky (Jody) of Shelton; his grandchildren John Kish Jr. ( Gina), Daniel Hajducky, Matthew (Courtney) Hajducky, Carly Hajducky, and Scarlet Hajducky, as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sisters Anne, Mae, Frances, and brother Andrew.All funeral services will be held privately.
