Obituary: Michael Anthony Manente, 54, of Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT, CT - (From Dennis & D'Arcy Funeral Home) It is with great sadness that we share the sudden passing of, Michael Anthony Manente, age 54, at his home in Bridgeport on April 18,2021.

He was the beloved and devoted husband of Darlene Lonsdale Manente of 21 years. Michael was born July 9, 1966 to the late Ralph and Carol (Kasper) Manente in Washington D.C.

Everyone who knew Michael, knows that he was happiest with a fishing pole in his hand or surrounded by his family. He loved to share his catch and all the great stories that went along with it. He was a selfless man always willing to lend a helping hand, never expecting anything in return.

He was a painter by trade and was awesome at his craft. Mike had many passions including the Yankees, the Redskins, cooking and his kitty Mitsy.

In addition to his loving wife, Darlene he is survived by his brothers; David (Christine) Manente of Seymour. Anthony Manente and his partner Diane of Fairfield, Gregory (Heidi) Manente of Stratford. Ralph Manente of Hamden and sister, Gina (John) Keklik of Monroe.

His aunt, Viola Arvai of Hamden, his uncle Pete of Florida, and his mother-in-law, Margaret Lonsdale. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews who adored him as well as, his best friend and fishing partner Joseph Nadhazi.

Hours of visitation will be held on Friday, April 23, 2021 from 4:00 to7:00 PM, at the Dennis & D’Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street, Stratford.
