I am sure most of the older population remembers being a rider on the major bus line in the city THE C.R.L.BUS LINES.IT served our area for years all buses usually meeting at MAIN AND FAIRFIELD downtown starting point.I rode many of their buses using transfers to head away from downtown.I use to head to SEASIDE PARK or PLEASURE BEACH BACK IN THE DAY.IT was a well known and the largest bus service in the city.Other buses were THE OX HILL BUSES,THE CHESTNUT HILL BUSES among others.IT was indeed a popular mode of transportation.C.R.L.closed in 1972.ANOTHER part of BRIDGEPORTS'HISTORY leaving behind-golden memories of another era.
