Cheshire Candidates Forum Tuesday

The League of Women Voters of Cheshire/Wallingford is sponsoring the event at Cheshire Town Hall.

The Cheshire-Wallingford League of Women Voters will hold its 2013 Cheshire Candidate’s forum Tuesday, Oct. 22, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Cheshire Town Hall Council Chambers, 84, Main St.

Jean Rabinow, administrator for LWVCT and LWVCT Education Fund, will moderated. The format is designed to allow candidates to speak freely on their views. There is room for interactive exchanges between candidates. The public has shown a positive interest in this aspect, which also gives visibility to the candidates’ differences. This opportunity gives the public a chance to get answers to specific points.

The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan group that “uses their experience to make democracy work and create lasting change in the communities in which they live,” according to the League of Women Voter’s pamphlet.
