Cheshire Fuel Bank Benefits from Newcomers & Neighbors Chili Cook Off

The event will be held Oct. 13 at the Parks and Recreation building.

The Cheshire Newcomers & Neighbors Club will host a town wide Chili Cook Off to benefit the Cheshire Fuel Bank on Sunday, Oct. 13th from 5-6:30 p.m. at the Parks and Recreation Building in the center of town.

“Civic organizations such as Cheshire Newcomers & Neighbors have the potential to collectively make a much needed contribution to the Fund," said club’s president Kathy Walker. "With enough support, we can make a difference in the number of residents Cheshire Social Services can provide assistance.  Local restaurants, businesses and residents are encouraged to participate”.

Residents as well as businesses in Cheshire are already signing up to participate in the challenge, Walker said.
