
Alda Gober Kozma, 88, of Cheshire, beloved wife of John F. Kozma, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013 at Masonicare Hospice, Wallingford.
Alda was born in New Haven on March 12, 1925, daughter of Victor and Mary Gober. She was predeceased by her brother, Gideon.
On June 28, 1943 she married John and they moved to Cheshire on Sept. 15, 1953. They recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.
Alda worked for Ortense Lumber in Wallingford as a bookkeeper for 34 years. Alda and John enjoyed golfing at Wallingford Country Club and traveling. Alda also enjoyed cooking, consignment shopping and trips to Mohegan Sun with her grandson. She especially enjoyed evenings with John, Ruth and their friends at The Gathering and the Victorian House.
Alda is survived by her husband, John; a daughter, Ruth K. Schub; and a grandson, Justin L. Daubert.
Alda requested that her body be donated to Yale School of Medicine for education and research.
Burial at St. John's Cemetery in Wallingford will be at the convenience of the family.
