Laura H. Carr, 92, of Cheshire died Nov. 5, 2013.
She was the wife of the late William C. Carr and was also predeceased by her first husband James M. Hunihan, Sr, CWO.
She was the loving mother of Michael V. Hunihan of Cheshire, James M. Hunihan, Jr. of Clinton, MA., and Cheryl A. Yudkin of Clinton, CT., the sister of Vincent A. Spagnuolo of North Haven, Geraldine Spagnuolo of New Haven and Edith F. Brangi of Wallingford.
She also is survived by her five stepchildren, 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and her longtime companion, Ted Chmielinski of Cheshire. She was predeceased by a sister Emily Spagnuolo, and a brother Kenneth Spagnuolo.
Laura was born in New Haven on March 18, 1921, the daughter of the late Vincent and Edith F. York Spagnuolo. Mrs. Carr was a long time resident of Cheshire and a parishioner of St. Bridget Church.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Bridget Church, Cheshire. Burial in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Sisk Brothers Funeral Home, 3105 Whitney Ave., Hamden.
