Cheshire Parks & Rec. Cancels Winter Basketball Season

CHESHIRE, CT — The Cheshire Parks & Recreation Department will not hold a winter 2020-21 basketball season due to coronavirus concerns and gym restrictions, officials announced on Monday.

“Many factors went into this difficult decision and we appreciate your patience while we deliberated,” officials wrote in a statement. “The health and safety of our athletes, families and league officials ultimately drove this decision. We have already begun working on ways to make our next season bigger and better than ever and can't wait to unveil our improvements!

“Thank you for your continued support, we look forward to seeing you again soon.”
