Cheshire Police Adding to Its Ranks
The Cheshire Police Department is hiring. Applications are due Nov. 4.

The Town of Cheshire is now accepting applications for the position of POST Certified and entry level Police Officer. Candidates must apply online at www.policeapp.com by the closing date of November 4, 2013.
Entry Level Non-POST certified candidates must also register online for the October 2013 CPCA written exam and the October 2013 CHIP test (if they do not have a current CHIP card).
Candidates must have a valid CHIP card at 40th percentile and pass the CPCA written test at 70% or above. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, a resident of Connecticut, possess a valid CT driver’s license at the time of appointment, be a non-smoker, and be at least 21 years of age upon appointment.
The Town of Cheshire offers a competitive salary and benefits package including paid sick time, paid holidays, paid vacation and a 5/2-5/3 schedule for Patrol Officers. Academy salary is $46,953. Salary range after training is $52,164 to $72,434 after four years. The Town of Cheshire is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
