An employee with the Cheshire Police Department tested positive for the coronavirus, according to officials.

CHESHIRE, CT — An employee with the Cheshire Police Department has tested positive for the coronavirus.

The police department suspended fingerprinting services on Saturday due to the positive COVID-19 case, according to officials.

“We are in the process of conducting a deep clean to ensure everyone’s safety moving forward,” officials wrote in a post on Facebook. “Thank you for your understanding.”
