Cheshire Summer Concert Series Lineup Announced

The free concert series takes place at Bartlem Park on Friday nights for four weeks.

CHESHIRE, CT — The annual Bartlem Park Friday Night Summer Concert Series, a four-week series of musical events at Bartlem Park, kicks off on July 21 with the band Terrapin, a Grateful Dead tribute band.

The concert series takes place on four consecutive Fridays from July 21 to Aug. 11. Each show has a little something for everyone, they all start at 7 p.m. and admission is free for all the concerts. (To sign up for Cheshire breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

“The summer concert series has become one of the most popular events in town, especially during the summer months,” Recreation Acting Director Sandy Petela said at a recent Parks and Recreation Commissioners meeting. “We love providing these concerts because it’s a way for us to give something back to the community.”

Following the Terrapin appearance on July 21 will be the Green River band on July 28. Green River puts on a lively Creedence Clearwater revival tribute show.

On Aug. 4 it’s the Alex Shillo and Badlands musical group producing the music of Bruce Springsteen.

The final show is on Aug. 11 with the Classic Stones Live! Band, which bills itself as the complete Rolling Stones tribute show.
