Cheshire Track Coach is National Finalist
Cheshire High School Girls Track Coach honored by peers.

Cheshire High School Girls Track Coach Barbara Hedden was ranked by her peers as a finalist for national girls track and field coach, representing the northeast region. Hedden was considered for the award by the National High School Athletic Coaches Association which held its convention this week.
Hedden has been a head coach in Connecticut for 25 years and was twice named girls track and field coach of the year. Her teams have been conference champions nine times.

Cheshire High School Girls Track team came in 9th out of 22 teams.
CIAC CLASS LL Championship track and field meet in May:
400 Meter Run
Second place: Alexandra Pelletier, 9th grade; seed 1:00.50; Finals 58.95
3200 Meter Run
6th place: Amanda Chang, 12th grade; seed 11:19.62; finals 11:30.86
