Downpour Causes Minor Flooding in Cheshire
Cheshire is under a flash flood warning until this evening with two more inches of rain possible.

Motorists didn't need the National Weather Service Wedesday afternoon to tell them the heavy rain was causing minor flooding.
West Main Street near Railroad Avenue was so full of water the edges of the deep pool were creeping toward the storefronts of Strollo's Towing and Pop's Pizza. Cars backed up to wait their turn through the low lying area.
The NWS issued a flash flood warning about 2:30 p.m. and said two to three inches of rain fell in about a hour. Another two more could be on the way before the storm passed, according to the alert.
