The James M. Cox Foundation is the charitable arm of Cox Enterprises and the parent company of Cox Communications and Cox Automotive. In response to the growing strain on feeding the community, the Foundation announced a $25,000 donation to support people in need where Cox lives and works earlier this year, with similar grants allocated to Enfield Loaves and Fishes and the Wethersfield Food and Clothing Bank.

“Though the past year has led to unprecedented challenges and strains, the residents and businesses of Cheshire have found ways to come together and serve the common good,” said Representative Linehan. “The Cheshire Community Food Pantry is a pillar of our close-knit community, and we are deeply grateful to receive this support from the James M. Cox Foundation, which has already done much to ensure our residents continue to receive the nutritional support they seek.”
