Man Plays Window Tic-Tac-Toe With 92-Year-Old Grandmother

CHESHIRE, CT — A Wallingford native found a unique way to visit with his 92-year-old grandmother at her assisted living facility in Cheshire given the current restrictions involved with the new coronavirus crisis.

WTNH News 8 reports Erik Nisson, who lives in Manhattan but was sent from his office to work from home and is back in the area, is unable to get close to his grandmother due to the risks with the coronavirus pandemic.

Nisson made the best of the situation and brought some markers to the assisted living home of his grandmother, Patricia McGalliard, and used them to draw on the window outside of her room. The two then played several games of tic-tac-toe and hangman, according to WTNH.

McGalliard was an English teacher for 50 years in the Hamden and North Haven school districts.
