CHESHIRE, CT — Mike Devine has been hired as the new head coach of the Cheshire High School boys’ lacrosse program, the school announced on Monday. Devine, who becomes the sixth head coach in the program’s history, takes over for legendary coach Rich Pulisciano who retired after this past season.
Devine was an assistant coach and former player for Pulisciano, who won two state championships at Cheshire. Devine was an all-state midfielder for the 2010 state championship team, according to GameTimeCT.com.
Devine told GameTime that Pulisciano molded him “into the player I am, the coach I am and the overall person I am” and that he’s honored to be the next guy in line.
