New Fire Training School Coming to Cheshire

Cheshire is among five towns in Connecticut that will be home to one in a series of new firefighter training facilities.
The state last year approved $26.2 million for the five new buildings, adding to $14 million that was previously approved.

David Hardt, co-chairman of the association's School Committee, told the newspaper that the state is transferring the land from the Department of Correction to the Department of Emergency Services and Fire Protection.
