Perfectly Prepared Catering Business Closes In Cheshire
The popular catering business has closed its retail store because the coronavirus pandemic "proved to be too much," the owners announced.
CHESHIRE, CT — A popular catering business in Cheshire is closing because the coronavirus pandemic has proven to be “too much,” the owners announced on Wednesday night.
In addition to closing Perfectly Prepared at 1410 Highland Ave., Riverhouse Hospitality announced its company is restructuring due to the impacts felt by the pandemic. Haddam-based Riverhouse Hospitality is the parent company for wedding and event venues such as The Riverhouse in Haddam and The Society Room in Hartford.
Riverhouse opened Perfectly Prepared in Cheshire in 2018, describing it as a “gourmet-to-go take-out store,” according to its website.

“The Covid-19 global pandemic has significantly impacted so many of us,” officials wrote in a post on the Perfectly Prepared Facebook page. “Regretfully, it has proved to be too much for our retail store location, and forced us to restructure our companies and close Perfectly Prepared. We have moved our Catering Company back to its original home, The Riverhouse at Goodspeed Station in Haddam. We are beyond grateful to all of our customers who enjoyed our food and always shared a smile. Many of you have become friends. We are forever grateful that you welcomed us into your lives and homes for dinner and special holidays/events. Thank you so much for all of your support. Perhaps our paths can cross again if you should ever need catering services.”
Fans of the store were saddened by the news.
